The Anderson Island - Steilacoom ferry route is operated by the Washington State ferry system. Find Washington's historic port town of Steilacoom, from there, a cool 20-minute sail to the Island. The boat ride carries auto, bike, and walk-on passengers, every 45-minutes, on a breezy cruise through the Puget Sound, winding past tiny Ketron Island, Fox Island, and The Tacoma Narrows Bridge in the distance, before docking on Anderson Island. Sip a coffee, relax, and keep a keen eye out for resident orcas, bottlenose dolphins, bald eagles, and Mt. Rainier.
